Lumsden (most probably R. Lumsden (not confirmed)).
First hat-trick scorer of India, scored 8 goals from 5 matches (known matches).

The player is no doubt a Britisher, played for India (then British India) for which very little information is available from Indian dailies or newspaper, Match information can be only found in Australian and British newspapers of that time.

They perhaps can give information about this player and also matches played by the British India at that time from which we can get match info before independence and of legends of Indian football like Gostha PAL (first captain of India), Talimeren AO (first captain of independent India), Mohammed SALIM (first Indian footballer who played at European clubs (Celtic FC in 1936), all of whom played before independence.
And also players who played in the 1938 Australian tour, like A. Rahim, Prem Lal, Jumma Khan, C. Robello, B. Sen, Noor Mohammed, A. Nandi, K. Prosad, K. Dutt (GK), K. Bhattacharjee (C).

These above players must have played many such tour matches, but very limited sources available as it was time of freedom struggle in India. So most information can only be found from British sources.
