Kopa Antiano 1976/77

NB: played Feb 6-Mar 9, 1977

Both Aruba representatives (1976 champions Dakota and runners-up Estrella) withdrew
end 1976 because of being refused the same financial conditions granted to Curaçao
entrants Jong Colombia (1976 champions) and Jong Holland (1976 runners-up).  Due to
the controversy, the tournament only started in February 1977.

NB: Jong Colombia and Juventus were to play off for the title, but on Mar 12 the
    protest of Jong Holland on the match on Feb 12 was upheld while that of Jong
    Colombia on the match on Mar 5 was rejected (the reasons for this apparent
    inconsistency were not reported); the Feb 12 match was to be replayed Mar 26 
    but Juventus refused to do so, requesting arbitration (Haime had joined the
    club in 1975).

NB: due to the no show of Juventus, all their matches were annulled and suddenly
    Jong Holland, who were out of the running to win the championship regardless
    of the outcome of the match to be replayed, were in front:

NB: Jong Holland and Jong Colombia were now to play off for the title, but Jong Colombia 
    refused to do so; Jong Holland were awarded the championship.

Jong Holland won the championship thanks to all 4 adversaries withdrawing in protest!
They lost 3 of the 4 matches they played!
