Football competition of the Juegos Odesur ('olympic games for South American countries'). Odesur abbreviates Organización Deportiva Sudamericana. Teams play with youth or olympic selections.
The first two editions (1978 and 1982) were known as Juegos Cruz del Sur.
In 2002 and 2006 not football tournament took place, but instead a futsal event was organised.
