NB: inaugural edition, between the top-8 finishers of the 2008/09
season; as Nalubaale (7th in 2008/09 but bought by Proline
Academy after the season) were excluded from the 2009/10 league,
their place was taken by 9th placed Victors; as Simba (5th in
2008/09 withdrew prior to the competition, their place was
taken by 10th placed Maji; KCC (2nd last season) withdrew on
the eve of the quarterfinal match and were not replaced;
the Super Eight Cup replaced the Super Cup Final, originally
scheduled for Sep 12 between URA and Villa at Nakivubo stadium
and cancelled due to the inavailability of the stadium
