      Solomon Islands bt Vanuatu
[!] the groups runners-up (so the losers of the Fiji vs New Caledonia
match) were assured to play Wallis and Futuna in the quarterfinals,
supposedly the easiest possible draw; apparently both teams were
considering throwing the match but Fiji decided to play for keeping
their unbeaten record; as the losing quarterfinalists with the best
overall goal record would also qualify for the semifinal, Fiji's
big win over New Caledonia virtually assured them of a place in
the semifinals irrespective of their result in the quarterfinals
