Hoofdklasse
At the beginning of May, military side M.V.V. (nicknamed "De
Beer") withdrew from the league because of having lost a number
of players who had moved to the Netherlands.
In the second week of May, Robinhood, Coronie Boys, Sonny Boys
and Leo Victor withdrew because the S.V.B. refused a discussion
on raising their share of the ticket receipts, halting the
league for some weeks. After these clubs returned, Voorwaarts
requested the S.V.B. deduct these clubs 2 points for each match
they did not show and refused to play league matches until
receiving an answer to that request.

championship on the request of the four bottom clubs, Coronie
Boys, Transvaal, Voorwaarts and Sonny Boys, who had no realistic
chance to finish first or second, and against the wish of the
two leading teams, Robinhood and Leo Victor. As a consequence,
no relegation took place, and M.V.V. were allowed to enter the
Hoofdklasse in 1961.
