West Asian Games (Kuwait) 2002

At the Al-Qadisiya stadium.

NB: originally scheduled for October 2001, but postponed due to the September 11
    attacks on the USA.  Oman were originally scheduled to take part in group A 
    (with Kuwait and Qatar; Iran, Palestine and Syria were to form group B) but 
    withdrew and the format was changed to one group.  Only Kuwait fielded its 
    strongest side, though missing their two top strikers (Jassim Al-Houwaidi and
    Bashar Abdullah).  None of the matches is a FIFA A-international.
