Arab Club Champions Cup

After the 17th edition of this tournament (in 2001), it was merged with the Arab Cup Winners' Cup into the new Prince Faysal bin Fahad Tournament for Arab Clubs. In 2003, the tournament was transformed into a 'Champions League', which however lasted for half a dozen seasons only. In 2012, after a 3-year interruption, the tournament was resurrected as the UAFA Club Cup. which however did not feature many domestic champions. After another 3-year break, it resurfaced as the Arab Club Champions Cup.
